We call ourselves Sedulur Sikep. “Samin” is our teacher's name, and has been used by outsiders for us since Dutch times. We do not demand that people stop using it, since nearly every book does and we do not wish to make searching difficult. We ask that this encyclopedia use our own name in its prose.
